Welkom

Youth hostel “Gagelhof” was originally built more than 50 years ago by a team of volunteers.

A new pavilion with modern and comfortable family rooms was added recently.

The hostel, situated in the woods, is the ideal stay for hikers and cyclists on tour.

Volunteers run the hostel which makes it unique on the European Continent. You will immediately notice the friendly and informal atmosphere of the place. 
You will feel most welcome!

(1) As a non-member you can also acquire your membership through the special introductory offer. You will be allowed a stay at a hostel without a membership card. Instead you’ll receive a guest membership card and pay a supplement per overnight stay. In exchange you’ll get a “Welcome Stamp” on your guest card. Once you have 6 stamps on your card you’ll have acquired a valid international membership and you’ll enjoy the normal tariffs. 
Mind you, you’ll be a lot cheaper off if you become a HI-member, in which case you’ll get a discount voucher as well. Keep in mind that in some countries the supplement for a “Welcome Stamp” comes more expensive than in Flanders.

  • Children discounts for families.

    • Children under 3 stay free.

    • Children under 12 get a discount of ±20% for bed and breakfast and meals when accompanied by at least one adult.

  • Group tariffs are the same as the individual adult tariff.

    • groups must be in possession of a group membership card. 

    • Every 16th person of a group stays free.

Travel Guide

Car:

Travel via Antwerp in the direction of Hasselt / Liège on the E313 (A13), carry on till passing exit 18. Switch to the E34 (A21) (direction Turnhout / Eindhoven). On the A21, exit at number 20 Lier, head for Malle / Zoersel on the N14. In Zoersel turn left (Kerkstraat-Voorne-St.-Antoniusbaan). The hostel is located 3 km out of the village on Gagelhoflaan, a side-road of the St.-Antoniusbaan that connects Zoersel and St.-Antonius.
- If your coming from Hasselt / Liège on the E313, make a U-turn using exit 18 Deurne or else, get off at exit 19 and follow the N14 to Lier where you’ll cross the A21 at exit 20. See above from thereon.
