On the field of 1,5 ha you can find the youth centre "De Valk" in the immediate surroundings of the city Ghent, in the rural municipality Laarne. 

A green area in the middle of flower greenhouses and on a walking distance of the splendid castle of Laarne.

The domain (1,5 ha large) lies on the junction at two large hiking paths: GR 122 and GR 128.

(1) As a non-member you can also acquire your membership through the special introductory offer. You will be allowed a stay at a hostel without a membership card. Instead you’ll receive a guest membership card and pay a supplement per overnight stay. In exchange you’ll get a “Welcome Stamp” on your guest card. Once you have 6 stamps on your card you’ll have acquired a valid international membership and you’ll enjoy the normal tariffs. 
Mind you, you’ll be a lot cheaper off if you become a HI-member, in which case you’ll get a discount voucher as well. Keep in mind that in some countries the supplement for a “Welcome Stamp” comes more expensive than in Flanders.

  • Children discounts for families.

    • Children under 3 stay free.

    • Children under 12 get a discount for bed and breakfast and meals when accompanied by at least one adult.

  • Group tariffs are different from the individual adult tariff.

Car:

- Brussels - Ostend (Highway E40) , exit 16 - Merelbeke on the ringway (R4) direction Zelzate - Antwerpen
Exit 5 on the ringway is Laarne. Follow the direction to the Castle and there you can follow the signs to the Hostel "De Valk".
- Antwerp - Kortrijk (Highway E17), direction Destelbergen, exit to the ringway R4.
