Overview

Welkom

The hostel is located along the canal linking Bruges and Zeebrugge. The medieval city of Bruges lies only 7 km away. The North Sea and the beaches are very easily reached.

The small cities of Damme and Lissewege are worth visiting too.

You can arrange transport from the railway station of Bruges by mini-bus if yours is a party of 4 or more, at a mini price!

The hostel offers a variety of possibilities. You can take a stroll along the canal or cycle in the polders. There is a polyvalent sports field and we can offer the necessary material for water sports as well. Whether you want to have a rest after a hike, have a vacation with your family or organize a school trip, we’ve got all you need!
A minibus can pick you up at the Bruges station provided previously request with the youth hostel.

(1) As a non-member you can also acquire your membership through the special introductory offer. You will be allowed a stay at a hostel without a membership card. Instead you’ll receive a guest membership card and pay a supplement per overnight stay. In exchange you’ll get a “Welcome Stamp” on your guest card. Once you have 6 stamps on your card you’ll have acquired a valid international membership and you’ll enjoy the normal tariffs. 
Mind you, you’ll be a lot cheaper off if you become a HI-member, in which case you’ll get a discount voucher as well. Keep in mind that in some countries the supplement for a “Welcome Stamp” comes more expensive than in Flanders.

 

  • Children discounts for families.

    • Children under 12 pay 15,50 euros per overnight and per child.

    • Children under 3 stay free.

  • Group tariffs are the same as the individual adult tariff.

    • groups must be in possession of a group membership card.

Travel Guide

Car:

Via the E40 / A10 motorway, take exit 8 Zeebrugge. Make sure you’re on the N31. At the crossing, go right in the direction of Knokke – Sluis. After about 800 meters you’ll be crossing the bridge over the Boudewijnkanaal (canal). On your right side you’ll find the hostel.

- The railway station of Bruges is 5 km from the hostel. Every half hour you can get on a bus to Dudzele
Or, arrange in advance for a mini bus to pick you up. A minimum of 4 persons is required.
