(1) As a non-member you can also acquire your membership through the special introductory offer. You will be allowed a stay at a hostel without a membership card. Instead you’ll receive a guest membership card and pay a supplement per overnight stay. In exchange you’ll get a “Welcome Stamp” on your guest card. Once you have 6 stamps on your card you’ll have acquired a valid international membership and you’ll enjoy the normal tariffs. 
Mind you, you’ll be a lot cheaper off if you become a HI-member, in which case you’ll get a discount voucher as well. Keep in mind that in some countries the supplement for a “Welcome Stamp” comes more expensive than in Flanders.

Travel Guide

Car:

Coming from Brussels via the E40, get off at exit 8 (Gent-Brugge), then into the direction of "Zeebrugge" on the N31 and at the crossing with the N371 into the direction of "Blankenberge" on the N371. At the traffic lights near St.-Amands church, turn left (Zwarte Leeuwstraat, Ruiterstraat). The hostel is situated on the square. 

Coming from Ostend, folow the N34 into the direction of Blankenberge. At the crossing with the N371, head for the direction of "Brugge" (Bruges). At the traffic lights near St.-Amands church turn right (Zwarte Leeuwstraat, Ruiterstraat). The hostel is situated on the square.

From the station "Blankenberge". Go on foot in the direction of Blankenberge village (follow the road signs to the hostel, about 2 km). You can also take the local city bus at the station.

at the station: bus number 1, get off at "St-Amandus" church (50m from the hostel) and follow the hostel signs.
