Welcome

Central YH Pulcinella is a new hostel in Antwerp, situated in the heart of the city centre, it is an ideal basis for exploring the historical city with its many ancient buildings and large collection of pubs.

You can visit some of the many museums like the photography, "Mayer Van den Bergh" or fashion museum. Or take a stroll along the harbor or visit the zoo, the opera or one of the several theaters. Antwerp being the “fashion capital” of Belgium also has a large number of designer shops and boutiques.

The hostel has 2 to 6-bedded rooms all with ensuite facilities and the reception is open until 11pm, guests have 24hr access.
With more than 30.000 students in town, there's always something to do!

(1) As a non-member you can also acquire your membership through the special introductory offer. You will be allowed a stay at a hostel without a membership card. Instead you’ll receive a guest membership card and pay a supplement per overnight stay. In exchange you’ll get a “Welcome Stamp” on your guest card. Once you have 6 stamps on your card you’ll have acquired a valid international membership and you’ll enjoy the normal tariffs. 
Mind you, it’ll be much cheaper if you become a HI-member, in which case you’ll get a discount voucher as well. Keep in mind that in some countries the supplement for a “Welcome Stamp” is more expensive than in Flanders.

  • Children discounts for families.

    • Children under 3 stay free.

    • Children under 12 get a discount of ±20% for bed and breakfast and meals when accompanied by at least one adult.

  • Group tariffs are the same as the individual adult tariff.

    • groups must be in possession of a group membership card. 

    • Every 16th person of a group stays free (possession of a group membership card and half pension required).

Travel Guide

Car:

- The hostel is located between the Oudaan and the quays, in the heart of the fashion district and the old town nearby.
   Use a GPS address: <intersection Bogaardestraat/Sint-Antoniusstraat>

- The disadvantage of a Top location is that parking is difficult. Some tips:
  * Metered parking is available in the parking Oudaen SA (the Oudaan) on 300 meters distance.
  * Free parking (also for busses) at the docks at 1 km distance.

tram:

Number 4 direction "Sint-Pietersvliet", get off at "kammenstraat". Walk 200 m to the "Bogaardestraat".

bus:

- nr. 17 (direction UZA - Central Station - Rijnkaai) from Central Station to "Rijnkaai" next
- nr. 9 (direction Rijnkaai - Fruithoflaan) to "Oudaan" and walk about 400 meters to the "Bogaardestraat"

Airplane:

- Brussels national airport at 40 km.
  Every hour (and on the hour), there is an "airport bus" from the airport to the Antwerp Central Station and back.
- The Regional airport "International Airport Antwerp" is located at less than 5 km of the hostel and offers daily flights from and to London.
